Nice write-up! It'll be a good series until "The Commish" decides that without the Lakers in the Finals no one will watch, and instruct his "Goons" (AKA Refs) to start enforcing the traveling/palming violations on the Suns.

Suns-Magic is the commish's almost-worst nightmare. The only reason I can think of for him to want the Suns in the Finals is because Nash is such a great player and all-around classy guy that he figures Nash should get at least one crack at a trophy.

However, if the refs let them play a fair game, I think the Suns have as good a crack at the Finals as they have in a long time, even better than 2006 because of the contributions the bench has been bringing.

Oh man am I ever pumped up for the Western Conference Finals!! Lakers vs Suns and both teams just swept their round two opponent!! Unheard of! I can’t wait to see this get under way, but I think the size of the Lakers will be the difference just like it was against Utah… here is proof with a preview: http://www.lionsdenu.com/nba-playoffs-western-conference-final-los-angeles-lakers-vs-phoenix-suns/
It’d be nice to see Nash finally get to the Finals but the Lakers are just too good. They have it all, coaching, star talent, bench, the list goes on…

Phoenix Suns is our beloved team, and we do our best to attend their games. It’s honorable to see them in the playoffs and in any other games. Go Suns, our hearts with you!! If someone interested in Suns tickets I recommend ticketwood.com.

Very true. The Suns did lose that game all by themselves. What I found myself marveling at was The Suns' inability to score in clutch situations down the stretch. You can't say The Suns didn't have a shot at it. They put up, and missed (maybe) 4-5 3 pointers that during the regular season may have seemed moot. Here, however, we see every hot-shot step up and hit nothin-but-bricks when big shots mattered most. Disappointing, only because it wasn't out of The Suns (theoretical) reach to win that game. It made me question the "killer's instinct" of The Suns rotation, which is said to be the defining factor for playoff teams in big games.

Now, having said that, I am still riding the high that comes with a 119-90-something win that happened tonight. Good efforts all around, and JRich/Hill (almost) made up for their lackluster series opener tonight. Nash traded in his big-point total for a big-assist total, which is clearly what Nash needs to do, and has styled his game to do for years.

Eddie Johnson did make a good point though: that sometimes Nash can be so selfless with his field goal attempts, dishing the rock to all the other cast members, that it could be argued that he does himself a diservice. What I'd like to see is what Eddie Johnson suggested: keep getting those assists, getting your trammates involved and active, and once the lead is established, kick into point-production and put some nails into a few Portland coffins. Well said.

Thanks for the opportunity Jason, I'll still post articles as long as I have the time and inclination. Despite the economy and challenges to writers like ourselves, there is an audience for what we do.

Thanks for the post David. Yeah, it hurts the NBA when their star product (the Lakers) is not doing well. It seems like the head office just closes it's eyes and pretends the Lakers can do no wrong. If anything, that foul on Amundson should have been ruled a flagrant 1 (no intent) in review. But nothing. Nada. Let the boys from La-La land have their way and everything will be alright.

Steve Nash is about 60%, and probably shouldn't have been playing at all except none of his back-ups could even suit up.
Everyone into the pool against the Lakers though! (except for me - I have to work. - So I'm counting on you, Jason.)
